How it's built
- A small Three.js world renders offscreen at two pixels per glyph. Every surface writes a material ID into the alpha channel.
- A full-screen shader picks a glyph per cell: brightness ramps per material, Sobel edges for | / - \, wind lean for grass, ripple direction for ( ) on water.
- Every character is built from spheres, cones and boxes with a coded walk, swim, drive or flight cycle.
- Footsteps, tyres and engines stamp into a glow texture that fades over time; ground, road, water and sky read it.
- Water mirrors the world rendered upside down, bent by ripple rings.
- Music and sound effects are generated live with Web Audio, with a different key for each world.
